RV Travel Destination – Williamsport, Pennsylvania

About a three hour ride from center city Philadelphia, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, (Billtown to the locals), is home of Little League Baseball, Millionaire’s Row, the Hiawatha Paddle Wheel Riverboat, Uptown Summer Music Fest, vineyard tours and micro-breweries to name just a few,

The Little League World Series, in neighboring South Williamsport, will be held August 18 to 28. In addition to the annual tournament, the Museum and gift shop are open to visitors daily.

The Hiawatha Paddle Wheel Riverboat docks in the Susquehanna State Park, and the park features a family friendly atmosphere with free parking, restroom facilities, public boat launch, grassy areas, a playground and charcoal grills. Fishing from the shore with a Pennsylvania license is permitted, but Fishing from the Hiawatha is not.

From June 1st thru Labor Day public cruises are available every day except Monday. Public Cruises are one-hour long and open to everyone. All cruises subject to availability and weather conditions.

Millionaire’s Row is an area of Williamsport full of Victorian era homes built when the city was the “Lumber Capital of the World.” Many have been restored to their original elegance. And for a special treat, check out the Peter Herdic House Restaurant & Inn for a great meal in beautifully restored Victorian style, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.Cruises are one-hour long cruises open to everyone.
