In the early 1960′s the Smith family decided to do some family camping. Following a weeks’ vacation in a camping trailer they had rented, E. Hadden and Bobbie Smith and their three sons, Hadden, Kevin and Warren decided that selling camping trailers would be a great way to combine business and their love of camping.
Media Camping Center opened its doors on January 1, 1965 with a dozen Nimrod camping trailers. For the next several years Bobbie Smith and oldest son Hadden were the principal employees, successfully selling and servicing Nimrod campers. The business grew and other brands of travel trailers and motor homes were offered. It wasn’t long before the entire Smith family became involved.
As they say, “Success breeds success,” and in 1972, a new location in Hatfield, Pennsylvania opened featuring Prowler travel trailers, and soon Media Camping Center became one of the top Prowler Dealers in the country.
Several years later, a third location was added in Fairless Hills, PA, and Media Camping Center became one of the largest family-owned RV Dealerships in the Northeast, due in large part to the Smith Family’s commitment to selling and servicing quality RV products while fostering long term relationships with satisfied customers.
We are proud to acknowledge the scores of RV owners that have purchased their second… third…. fifth, and even their twelfth RV from Media Camping Center and gladly refer their family and friends to us.
