Automotive  (Be sure your motor home or tow vehicle is ready for winter driving)
__Windshield wipers in good condition
__Check tire pressure and condition 
__Check engine antifreeze (Refer to your owners manual - NEVER open a hot radiator cap!)
__Check automotive heat & defroster operation.
__Add anti-gel additive to diesel fuel or fuel line anti-freeze for gas engines (be sure to read the instructions).

RV
__Fill propane tank(s)
__Charge up RV batteries by plugging your RV into an outlet several days prior (make sure they contain sufficient battery fluid)
__Bring an extra RV battery & a charger if possible, (but don’t store or charge it in your RV)
__Start & run the generator
__Turn on the furnace & be sure it is operating properly (test it several days before leaving)
__Test Smoke Detector, Carbon Monoxide Detector, LP Leak Detector
__Flashlights
__Extra Batteries for all electronic devices
__Cover dump valves with plastic bag & duct tape to prevent freeze-up while traveling
__Anti-freeze made for door locks (keep it with you, not in the RV).
__Fire extinguisher fully charged

Comfort
__Extra blankets or cold weather sleeping bags
__Extra dry clothes to change into 
__Insulating covers for your skylight or roof vents
__Electric cube heaters
__Fire starters and campfire wood
Food
  __Instant hot chocolate, tea bags, coffee bags
__Instant oatmeal
__Instant or canned soup
__Canned stew, veggies, pasta, etc.
__Wholesome, high-energy snack foods-raisins, nuts, dried fruit, granola bars, etc.
